Meeting Notes - February 1, 2003

At Saturday's Feb. 1 meeting we talked about:

1. The coming world wide action on Feb. 15. See http://www.feb15.org/ for information. The website contains a poster. If someone knows where to pick up this poster please let me know. We talked about spreading the word by stapling the posters to telephone poles. We need volunteers to do this. Please let me know if you'll be able to participate. (You do not need to tell me if you cannot). Any other ideas on how to distribute the posters?

2. We decided that we needed a banner for North Seattle. The decision was to get together next Sunday at the Broadview Community Church of Christ (potluck place). Charles promised to see if place is available and at what time. Marie and I took on to look for materials for the banner.

However, Marie and I were so inspired that we could not wait till next week. We got together yesterday to make the banner instead of bannering. We were joined by Maya. The banner is finished and we think quite beautiful. Sky blue bottom with white letters. The colors of the United Nations.

I think it would still be good to meet at the church on Sunday if the space is available. We will let you know. This will be in place of the Saturday meeting at our house.

3. We also talked about having a website for North Seattle. If anyone has web site skills and has the time to work on this please identify yourself. The site should include information about our group, maybe a picture and a space to give more extensive information about what we're up to.
