Bake Sale at Carkeek Park

Sat. April 17, 2004 - Carkeek Cookies for Peace and Justice

Thanks to everyone who helped out or came down to the park to support our Bake Sale for Democracy. With the efforts of about 25 volunteers, and about 160 people who donated to the cause, we raised almost $870 for MoveOn PAC. This money will be used to help take back the White House. We also sold a number of T-shirts and stickers, raising $230 for our group and the SNOW Coalition.

The Israeli - Palestinian Conflict

June 17, 2003

A presentation by Tom Swenson-Healy and Abe Osheroff followed by an open discussion. Approx. 41 people attended, and there was considerable interest and a good discussion.

July 29, 2003

A repeat of the event with Tom Swenson-Healy and Abe Osheroff. About 27 people came out on a very hot summer night to learn more about this issue. The discussion afterwards was more engaging than the first event.

November 18, 2003

Abe Osheroff, Tom Swenson-Healy, and Bert Sacks led an excellent discussion of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Held at Trinity United Methodist Church in Ballard, with 45 people in attendance.

January 25, 2004

Abe Osheroff, Tom Swenson-Healy, and Amin Odeh were panelists in a discussion on this topic sponsored by West Seattle SNOW. Approximately 80 people participated.
