Join us in periodic vigils at Greenwood & 85th
We will be present periodically at the intersection of Greenwood Ave N & N 85 St with signs and information to engage our neighbors in conversations about the war.
Join one of our working groups
Oil Conservation Subcommittee: we will be developing a hands-on volunteer campaign to reduce our neigborhoods' dependence on foreign oil. Contact Eric Maia at maias@speakeasy.net for more details.
Counter-recruiting / Draft Resistance Subcommittee: we will be working in the High Schools to help our kids understand the real story behind the recruiters' sales pitch.
Media Accountability: we are currently following the development of the new Citizen's Committee for Responsible Journalism. We may form an active committee if we find a need and interest for independent action in our neighborhoods.
Iraq Subcommittee: a new SNOW working group has been formed to develop direct actions to stop the slaughter going on in Falluja and elsewhere in Iraq. Contact Gunnel Clark at gunnel1@w-link.net for more details.
